Behind the scenes of the Archival Public Records Office

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Victorian Archival Office Public Records and was able to go behind the scenes to see how they store their historical and current photography and documents. It was an incredible experience to see the meticulous care and attention that is taken to preserve these important records for future generations. The archive holds an extensive collection of photographs, documents and other materials that provide valuable insights into the history of Victoria and Australia. Being able to witness firsthand the process of archiving and preserving such significant records was truly fascinating.
During my visit to the National Archives, I had the chance to explore their exhibition on space exploration and how it impacted Australia. Among the exhibits was a letter from a concerned citizen, dated 1956, that was sent to the Prime Minister's office. The letter expressed fears about UFOs and aliens potentially landing in Australia and abducting humans. It was interesting to read and provided a glimpse into the thoughts and concerns of the public during that time.
